The House sits in an ideal location as a location for biking holidays. The house borders the national forest and therefore bike rides can literally start from the back door. The initial terrain suites bikers who enjoy a gentle ride through beautiful scenery with foothills surrounded in forest. More experienced bikers can choose to continue into the Karkonski National Park with its more mountaneous territories. Each season holds its own delights for bikers and hikers alike with the new life of spring right , the green vastness of a warm summer, the beautiful colours of the forest in autumn and into the christmas card scenes of winter. Bikers can choose to start from the house or alternatively take a low cost minibus into other regions with organised stay overs and returns.
Experienced Endurance Rides
The northern part of the Karkonosze, the highest part of the Sudeten massif, is under protection as the Karkonoski National Park, with an area of 5,579 ha. This ensures that bikerss can enjoy a freedom of rides along well posted tracks for mile upon mile far away from towns and cars. To enhance the experience we can pre-book stay overs in mountain lodges which are situated deep in the forest and orginally set up for foresters to use. This means that those who wish to can take two or three day rides into the forest wilderness.
A long lazy ride down
One of most favoured rides with visitored is the ride from Sklaska Poreba turn to home. This involves being take up by minibus to the dead mans turn around 10 km from the house.You are then left to take the road back of which 90% is a downhill incline. Many bikers choose to just coast down this trek and take in all of the scenery around them. This particularly suits the less experienced or fitness challenged bike riders. Whatever teh reason for this choice a nice glass of beer and log fire is always waiting for you at the end of it.
